My first car was Maruti Suzuki Esteem. I sold this car after using it for 6.5 years. My next car was Hyundai Santro. I sold this car after 11.5 years. I am currently owning a Civic since 2010 and recently sold Santro to buy the Honda Jazz.
I sold my Esteem because the suspension was acting up and maintenance costs were going up. In 2004, I paid ₹ 26,000+. So that was the deciding factor.
I sold Santro because the car was getting old and had to be sold. But it was perfect even in it's 12th year of ownership. There was no other reason to sell.
I am not selling my Honda Civic because the price that I can reasonably expect is way lower than even the wdv as per the insurance. It is too good a car and a pure pleasure to own and drive. I may keep it for another 5 years.
My new Jazz is a petrol CVT. It is just a month old. Let me see how things go.
Recently I have sold my old car with the help of this reputable junk car buyer https://www.mippin.com/junk-cars-company-all-you-need-to-know/ for a great price and now want to buy a new electric car. Because electric vehicles provide the ability to charge batteries from a standard electrical network, which can significantly save on costs.
