I've been using an Apple TV HD (4th generation, not 4K) for my streaming services and apps because I had an old HD TV (not a smart TV). However, I now have a new Sony Bravia Google Smart TV (XR-55X90J). I have a few questions - 1) Are the Apple TV and the Google TV compatible? 2) Can they compliment each other (e.g., is there functionality on one that the other doesn't have which could add more available services in combination)? 3) Do I even need Apple TV now that I have a smart TV with a comparable slate of apps and streaming services)? 4) If they can work together beneficially, how can they be set up so that the Bravia is the primary source, and the Sony TV the secondary located on HDMI 1 or 2? 5) I'm having difficulty connecting the Bravia to my Wi-Fi router (my network is wireless, albeit my ASUS router is connected to the internet via a service provider cable). That's a lot, I know. Any advice is welcome.
