Last year before the world closed One of the load slotxo last things I did was attend PAX East in Boston. The most memorable part of the 2020 show, as always, is the Indie Megabooth store, where I've discovered a lot of my favorite games over the past decade, like Astrologaster, Emily is Away, and now Welcome. Elk
I have to admit The reason I went to the booth was because if you signed up for the mail. You will receive a handwritten postcard in the mail. And as I said before, I love the letter. Finally, the card comes with a funny anecdote from one of the developers from his childhood. Which connects to something else I really like: stories!
Welcome to Elk is about a small village. Inspired by the Nordics on a small, cold island and a newcomer called Frigg, Frigg was apparently there to study carpentry. But what she really saw is the life of Elk residents, for better and for worse. The game is colorful and so are the people, but the story (all based on real events) is a bit murky.
full of loss and sorrow They are not epic tales that have been passed down through the ages. These are the kinds of stories you'll share with your friends at meals, or even with strangers in the bar. I tend to like personal anecdotes that are unpolished and plain. Even listen to a few podcasts like The Moth or RISK! When I have itching to scratch Very welcome to Elk out of close camaraderie.
